Summary of Qualifications

Bob is a retired business executive whose career spanned more than 30 years in the high tech industry. Bob began his professional career at Xerox Corporation after he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business. In 1980 Bob joined Wang Laboratories and spent twenty years with Wang and its successor companies in a variety of product development, marketing, sales and service management positions.

President and CEO, QualxServ, LLC, Tewksbury, MA. 2000 - 2010

In 2000, the Getronics Board of Management accepted a management led buyout for the purchase of its U.S. managed services division. QualxServ, the newly formed privately held company was created with the goal of becoming a premier maintenance services company dedicated to the support of major OEMs. By 2009, following the puchase of Banctec’s Service Division, operations spanned a dozen countries, employment grew to over 3500 professionals and on-site service visits topped 3 million annually. After completing the acquisition of Banctec’s service division, and nearly 10 years at the helm, I retired as President and CEO in 2009 and stepped down from the Board of Directors in 2010.

  

President, Field Managed Services, Wang Global/Getronics, Billerica, MA. 1999 - 2000

In early 1999 promoted to president of Wang Global’s $500M Field Services business unit. This operation was comprised of field maintenance services, installation and deployment services, logistics, call centers, and business development functions. In late 1999, Getronics, a Netherlands based I.T. services company acquired Wang Global creating a $5B computer service business.

 

Sr. Vice President, U.S. Field Operations, Wang Global, Billerica, MA. 1997 – 1999

Following the successful turnaround of Wang Global’s Canadian subsidiary, promoted to the position of senior vice president for the 1,500 person U.S. computer maintenance oganization. In 1998 Wang Global acquired Olivetti’s worldwide service organization with the result that a once declining business was transformed into a national service delivery organization of nearly 3,000 field service professionals.

 

President and General Manager, WANG CANADA, Scarborough, Ontario 1995 - 1997

Named president of Wang Canada to direct the merger of Wang Canada with Group Bull’s Canadian computer sales and service operation. In 1997 appointed Chairman of the Wang Canada Board of Directors.
